Genital warts
Genital warts are white or body-colored warts most frequently caused by low-risk human papillomavirus. They appear on external genital organs and around anus of women and men, rarely they may appear inside vagina and on the cervix of the uterus. About 10% of sexually active individuals may contract genital warts throughout their life. The warts appear within weeks to months after the intercourse or intimate contact with the infected individual.Genital warts can be eliminated by application of a special cream or solution, by cryo-coagulation, electro-coagulation or by laser treatment. In many cases the genital warts reappear, because HPV may still be present in the organism.
Indole-3-carbinol (INDONAL) supports the programmed death of the HPV altered cells and contributes to the suppression of the activity of HPV infection specific proteins.
